I am pleased to announce that Kainos celebrated its 50th anniversary on May 1, 2025. I deeply appreciate all of the support kindly given to us throughout this period from our customers, shareholders, business partners, employees and their family members.

Kainos aims to develop and supply novel products as a manufacturer and provider of in-vitro diagnostics that are based on the need from as well as the movements in the clinical environments, contributing to both therapeutic and preventive medicine.

Starting with the world’s first enzyme-based Serum Transaminase Measuring Reagent, Kainos has expanded its business scope with various products in the biochemistry, immunoserology and genetic testing fields. In recent years, its Carnitine Measuring Reagent and ADAMTS13 Activity Measuring Reagent were both included in the national insurance listing in Japan in 2018, both of which have greatly contributed to the definitive diagnosis and formulation of treatment strategies by medical professionals.

In continuation of our vigorous track record in R&D, Kainos launched a novel diagnostic marker for sepsis “Procalcitonin Measurement Reagent” in 2024. Being the only reagent of this type that may be used on multipurpose automated analyzers commonly installed in various scales and types of hospitals, this product has, along with other renal and hepatic testing items, been helping to improve the operational efficiency in the clinical operation of customer hospitals. In the blood transfusion testing field, Kainos is actively deploying both medical instruments and related products that have been widely welcomed from the Japanese customers.

In line with the constant evolution of the clinical diagnostics industry, customer requirements are growing more diversified than ever. Kainos commits itself to continue capitalizing its proprietary technology as well as those from domestic and overseas partner companies for the ultimate purpose of continuing to provide innovative and high-quality products to our customers.
